A Swedish style massage to relax the body and release general tension. Good if you need a full massage that uses a deeper pressure than aromatherapy, with the focus being more on releasing physical tension.
This is a deep tissue massage and focusses on areas in need of releasing deeper held tensions. The techniques sink into these deeper tissues to manipulate and help restore tired, overworked and achy muscles. Helps to release long-held tension patterns and improve posture and mobility.
This deals with a specific area of pain and restriction, working on the muscles around a joint to decrease pain, increase range of motion and improve working function of a particular area of the body. Can be helpful for injury recovery, repetitive strain issues and chronic tension patterns.
A calming acupressure head massage, followed by a soothing foot massage and special pressure techniques that stimulate and clear the reflexes. This aims to trigger self-healing mechanisms within the body, through reflexes, to reduce symptoms such as headaches, IBS and asthma for example, and promote improved health and vitality.
A gentle relaxing treatment which aims to reduce fluid retention and support the immune system. It can help post op swelling, injury, sinus issues, chronic fatigue syndromes and can also help to relieve stress.
This class is suited to those who would like to increase their sense of wellbeing through gentle exercise. For all ages and abilities, the slow and graceful movement sequences, synchronised with the breath, helps to bring about a sense of balance and harmony to the mind and body. It works to improve posture, mobility, coordination and balance, as well as ability to relax. A one hour session for two people. These can be booked more flexibly. The structure of the class tailors exercises to your specific aims/needs giving you a chance to focus on areas you'd like to improve and also deepen your practice. Along with the warming up and movement sequences, sessions can include a combination of guided relaxations, meditations and breathing exercises, stretching, posture and alignment work and exercises to improve balance, coordination and mind-body connection. These classes are £15 per person for 1 hour.
Group sessions for community based settings. The classes can work to maintain fitness in people of all ages and abilities, particularly useful for people wishing to maintain mobility and increase health through gentle exercise. The classes can also be very helpful for groups with stress, depression or anxiety issues. They bring about a sense of inner calm and relaxedness as well as increasing mobility and reducing tension in the body. £40 per hour session.
