Our pledge to you
Our aim is to make the environment as safe as possible for you to continue to receive your treatments to help relieve pain issues and support your wellbeing. We have taken measures, as advised by the government and professional regulatory bodies to implement infection control to prevent the spread of infection and interrupt transmission.
If you are planning to visit a salon/clinic/therapy practice
Your therapist will...
- Check they are in good health before you arrive for treatment.
- Wash their hands or use hand sanitiser before treatment.
- Follow guidelines on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Disinfect non-porous materials, e.g. massage couch and equipment after each appointment
- Wash porous materials after each client
- Replace couch roll and other disposable materials with each client.
- Ventilate the treatment room after each appointment.
- Change their tunic/top/apron if needed after each client.
- Wear durable, disposable gloves when cleaning the premises.
- Maintain social distancing before and after the treatment.
You will be asked to...
Prior to your treatment:
- Complete a short COVID-19 consultation form, and a health consultation (if you are new)
- You must contact your therapist and re-schedule if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or if any person in your household is self-isolating. Let your therapist know if you develop symptoms within 48 hours after seeing your therapist so they can pursue track and trace
- Consider if you are a ‘high risk’ person and whether you think massage therapy will be right for you at this time (a waiver form will need to be signed if you decide to proceed)
At your treatment:
- Please bring a bottle of water, a pen and towels for your draping.
- Arrive at the agreed time and ensure social distancing before and after the treatment.
- Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser upon arrival (will be provided)
- Follow guidelines on the use of PPE – wear a mask during the treatment if lying face up
- Pay by card or other cashless method, where possible.
