Bodywork, like various other holistic therapies, has the potential to bring many beneficial and positive shifts to your health and wellbeing. This can most often be a process that changes over time, and the tools used can vary as your body responds within and between sessions.

The effects of this work often go hand in hand with other holistic and wellness practices and also lifestyle habits. When you work mindfully with the process, and when barriers to health are recognised and carefully altered, this can help hugely enhance progression.

This process involves the collaboration of both therapist and client working together to find the best way that works for you to bring about desired changes.

How we work will vary depending on your needs, where we are in the process and also your preferences. So staying in communication within the process of treatments to reflect on how we are doing can really help keep check that we are staying on track and finding the best treatment plan for you.

Generally the approaches I use can be one of three:
A remedial deep tissue approach to address a specific pain, tension or mobility issue. A soothing relaxation massage to nurture deep rest and de-stress the system. Intuitive myofascial release work to help release stuck physical and emotional tensions within the body and facilitate reorganisation within your tissues and body systems. I also offer a general session which may include a combination approach for maintenance.

Treatments can include a combination of techniques depending on your needs including: myofascial release, hot stones, mobilisations and stretches, shiatsu and acupressure applications, trigger point work and other deep tissue techniques, reflexology, cupping, guided relaxation and breathing focus.

Below is a guideline of various bodywork styles that are included within a session.
